Dr Syed Emdadul Haque joined UNU-IIGH in August 2013 as “Postdoctoral Fellow”. He obtained his MHSc and PhD from Graduate School of Medicine, The University of Tokyo, Japan. Prior to join at UNU-IIGH, he worked as a Global Health Researcher highlighted developing countries. Dr. Haque’s research interests focuses on studying NCDs centring on mental health, environmental exposure on mental health, school and community-based health promotion, and migrant and health globally. He is expert on filed research data collection as well as in qualitative research. He has published 17 articles in peer-reviewed journals. Four research projects were carried out by him as Principal Investigator. His future research will focus on “migrant and second generation: health inequalities” and policy implications following MDGs.
