Mr. Markus Schindler is research assistant at UNU-EHS. Previously, he completed the M.Sc. Public Policy and Human Development with specialization in Migration at the Maastricht Graduate School of Governance and the United Nations University Maastricht Economic and Social Research Institute for Innovation and Training (UNU-MERIT). In his work for UNU-EHS, Mr. Schindler previously conducted statistical analysis and supported the case studies in Haiti, in line with the “Migration, Environment and Climate Change: Evidence for Policy” (MECLEP) Project, and in the Pacific Islands of Kiribati, Nauru and Tuvalu, for the Pacific Climate Change and Migration (PCCM) Project. Now, he works on issues surrounding loss and damage from climate change, and the relationship of climate change and migration, with a focus on Nepal.
