On June 19th 2014, UNU-GCM was honoured to receive a visit by Mrs. Susana Malcorra, Chef de Cabinet of the United Nations and her delegation. Following a presentation of the institute’s work, the Chef de Cabinet offered a short address in which she emphasised the growing importance of migration as a global issue in the coming years, together with the need for the United Nations to engage with this issue in ways that would promote sustainable development, security and human rights.
