This seminar will present the key findings (and controversies) from a recent research project on understanding and promoting voluntary return including amongst irregular migrants and unsuccessful asylum seekers. The research was based on interviews with 273 respondents in 15 countries of origin, transit and destination. In addition to reporting on findings and policy recommendations, the seminar will also reflect on the collaboration during the project between an academic institution, international organization, and government.
