Female migrants are especially vulnerable and initial reports suggest that they are also more likely to be (in)directly victimized through corruption. This study, commissioned by GIZ, for a first time systematically analyses the impact of corruption on female migrants, with a special focus on sexual extortion (‘sextortion’). Desk research and stakeholder interviews are used to map the forms and effects of corruption on female migrants and to identify recommendations for German development cooperation institutions.
